Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DoYourSing, our vocal training app for iOS and Android, collects, uses and protects your information. It applies to the app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. DoYourSing is published by Positive Appitude Ltd ("we", "us").

1. Information we collect

We keep the information we collect to a minimum. The app does not ask you to create an account.

• Information stored on your device only. Your favourites, playlists, practice reminders, settings, and whether you have seen the intro and news items are stored locally on your device. We do not receive them.
• Subscription status. When you subscribe, the purchase is handled by Apple (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app checks your subscription status with the store so it can unlock premium features. We do not receive or store your payment details.
• Ambassador codes. If you redeem an Ambassador code, the date of redemption is stored on your device so the app knows when your access ends.
• Technical information when you are online. Some content in the app, such as explainer videos and news items, is delivered over the internet from our content delivery provider (Bunny). Like any web server, it receives standard request information such as your IP address and the type of device making the request. We do not use this to identify you.

3. Mailing list

The app does not collect your email address. If you choose to join our mailing list, the "Join the mailing list" link opens a sign-up page in your web browser. That page is hosted by Mailchimp, which stores and processes the details you enter there under its own privacy policy. We use those details only to send occasional updates about DoYourSing and content from Juliet Russell. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

4. Practice reminders and permissions

If you set practice reminders, they are scheduled on your device using notifications. On iOS, the app may ask for access to your calendar to add practice reminders. These reminders stay on your device. You can turn off any permission at any time in your device settings.

5. How we use information

• To provide and maintain the app and its features.
• To confirm your subscription or Ambassador access so premium features work.
• To deliver news and explainer content in the app.
• To send mailing list updates, only if you signed up through the Mailchimp page.

6. Sharing

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• Apple and Google process subscription payments under their own privacy policies.
• Bunny, our content delivery provider, delivers videos and news content to the app.
• Mailchimp handles mailing list sign-ups, only if you choose to join.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

Because the app has no accounts, the information it stores lives on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID settings (iOS) or the Subscriptions page in Google Play (Android); deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. To be removed from the mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us.

8. Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Because the app itself holds almost nothing about you, this mainly applies to mailing list details. Contact us using the details below.

9. Children's privacy

DoYourSing is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page and post the new version in the app and on this page.
